So the A6 is confirmed to be 2x Cortex A15 or is that just speculative? Any word on the gpu side? Reply
  • Lucian Armasu - Wednesday, September 12, 2012 - link

Probably just speculative. The iPhone 5 may just have a dual core 1.6 Ghz Cortex A9 CPU. Didn't iPhone 4S have only a 800 Mhz dual core A9 CPU? I know iPhone 4 did. Reply
  • Lucian Armasu - Wednesday, September 12, 2012 - link

Or better yet, it may be a quad core Cortex A9 design, like Exynos 4 and Tegra 3. Either variant seems a lot more likely than A6 using Cortex A15. Not sure why Anand jumped straight to that conclusion, when we haven't even seen A15 in tablets yet. Reply
  • lukarak - Wednesday, September 12, 2012 - link

But the battery life wouldn't be nowhere as close, even if we take into account Apple's PR 'generosity'.
