Picking up from where we left off this morning, AMD has unveiled their plans for their next GPU tech day, including plans for a product showcase webcast.

AMD’s GPU 2014 Tech Day will be taking place on September 25th. As part of the event AMD will be holding a product showcase at 3pm EDT (19:00 UTC) that they will be webcasting live to the public. AMD’s press release doesn’t give any further details on what they’ll be showing off, but given AMD’s earlier enthusiast GPU tease, it’s a safe bet that they’ll be showing off the aforementioned GPU.

AnandTech will be attending the event, so we'll also have more details as it happens. Look forward to it.

Now I want to see the same attention to detail and writing that the iPhone and Intel gets. Lets see if that happens or not, but it should be interesting none the least.

It won't get the same level of attention because, unlike with Apple, AMD doesn't make mysterious blackboxes with codenames like "Oscar" that you have to glean from debugging tools....

This leads me to wonder why more press conferences aren't streamed live. I'm sure if live feeds of these tech press conferences were available (particularly smartphone announcements) they would get hundreds of thousands of viewers.

Hoping their new releases put some added pressure on NV... Tho the GTX 7xx series wasn't priced too bad (outside of the 780). I've been thinking of getting two GTX 760s but I'll wait it out...

I can understand someone saying that they want the fastest gpu, so they hope that amd releases the fastest card next month. I cannot understand someone saying that they hope amd releases the fastest card next month so that they can go and buy an inferior nvidia card. Do you wear an nvidia wedding band? Please explain yourself.
