The desktop looks perfectly normal to me. The laptop is a convertible model with a screen that can be flip/rotated to either face towards the keyboard (laptop mode), or away from it (tablet mode).

Something about the way it's photographed makes the desktop look like a 2D cardboard cut-out of a desktop :)
