I don't think they are auto opening. According to the article.
"at the movement of a slider, the top panel will open to improve airflow out of the top of the case, or close to reduce dust getting into the case."
They basically just aped the NZXT Switch 810 idea, but half assed it, as the Switch has slits that move back and forth, not just little flaps that barely open. Reply
Been looking for Rosewill cases all over the EU. They're not to be found anywhere :/ Which sucks, as they're so awesome. And now this one on top of it :/Reply
I find this pretty amusing as Rosewill products are known to be budget quality parts here in the US. With these prices, I'm even thinking they are unreasonable given Rosewill's reputation of offering budget parts. You're not exactly missing out.Reply
Well, Rosewill cases usually get some pretty good reviews here on Anandtech. The Thor V2 seemed to have a superb balance between cooling and noise, in the review Anandtech threw it. And the Throne just seems to be expanding on the Thor V2 concept. Which is why I'd be interested in it.Reply
Rosewill are Newegg's house brand. I had the chance to speak to their marketing, and ask about the UK/EU, given that's where I'm from. It's on the cards - they're establishing themselves as a brand and then expanding into new markets.
I don't know about that. They can only be as small as the performance you're willing to compromise. Most people who use dGPUs aren't willing to compromise much.Reply
<I know this is an advertising scheme but still...> Some SFF cases can accommodate up to 13" dGPUs. And the GPU chip sizes are shrinking.
Less people want a full size tower; "All in ones" are becoming popular for home users and most gamers/media editors I know prefer Mid Towers or SFF.Reply
