While Anand is away on a well-deserved vacation (ed: and as such isn’t around to stop us from doing this), we wanted to give The Boss a very special shout-out to wish him a happy 30th birthday.
For those of you familiar with our history, Anand has operated AnandTech since he was just 14 years old, which means he’s now been writing reviews (and breaking things) for half of his life. And while he has slowed down a bit with age – we understand that he sometimes sleeps now – his hard work still puts the rest of us (younger and older) to shame. But in all seriousness, even after having read AnandTech for most of those 15 years and worked for Anand for many of them, he continues to amaze us on a regular basis.
Of course they say that with age comes wisdom. On his 30th birthday it’s clear that Anand acquired both of those in spades – which is probably why he’s on vacation while we’re still working (ed: hey!).

This is about the umteenth year I have seen this.Your organization has probably saved me hundreds of dollars by directing me to intelligent purchases.
I have probably also wasted thousands of hours reading reviews about every gadget, component, chip set ,... you name it; just like a kid waiting for the newest movie or latest comic book. There must be a 12 step program available for most or your subscribers.
Finally, as a member of the New Orleans community, I remember your asking all your readers to keep us in thier thoughts immediately after Katrina. Most of us want several months without television, phones or even electricity. Communicating via internet was literally a life saver for all of us. ------------ Happy Birthday!!!

You have been an inspiration for me my whole life. I've been reading your articles for longer than I can remember. I could even say I owe my job to you. Without everything that I learned from your website, I would probably have never gotten my job.Not to be age-ist or anything but it's also really impressive what you have accomplished even though you're 2 years younger than me! For some odd reason I always thought that you were older than me.
