How it Rates

AnandTech Motherboard Rating

Rating (x/10)

Performance

The SY-K7VTA has the best performance among all KT133 motherboards so far.

7.5

Price

The price of the SY-K7VTA is actually lower than the average price of KT133 boards out there. Considering the facts that Soyo is a relatively well-known brand and the SY-K7VTA is a high quality board, this is quite a bargain.

7.5

Stability

The SY-K7VTA is very stable. An average board will crash around 6 to 7 times during our stability tests, but the SY-K7VTA only crashed 3 times.

8.0

Quality

Soyo products are usually associated with high quality, and the SY-K7VTA follows that path. It is probably one of the highest quality Soyo products we have seen.

8.0

Features

Again, the multiplier ratio settings have become the bestare the most notable feature of the SY-K7VTA. Besides that, the Fan-Off Control and the Voice Doctor are still very attractive features in protecting the system. In terms of software, the 3-in-1 Bonus Pack is really nice for system builders. And do not forget the extra thermal paste Soyo put in with the board.

7.5

Layout

The overall layout of the SY-K7VTA is good, but Soyo really has to work on the power supply connector, which would be best placed on the right edge of the board.

5.0

Availability

You can always find Soyo products on a lot of on-line stores and local computers stores. They have also started to appear in large retail stores like CompUSA, Fry's Electronics, and Microcenter.

7.5

Documentation & Software Bundle

The manual is poor. Soyo should have included more information in it. On the software end, the driver CD contains all necessary information for the board, and the 3-in-1 Bonus Pack is really nice to have.
