As mentioned earlier, Crucial is now selling PC2100 modules that debuted for $104 and now has risen to $115 (256MB module) which is a whopping 38% less in price than what was available in the market. PC1600 memory has actually gone up in price. At one time DDR SDRAM modules were quite expensive, almost out of the question for the consumer, but now we're beginning to see that these modules can be affordable since there is only a shy difference between the prices of 256MB of PC2100 memory and 256MB of PC133 CAS2 memory. However, a motherboard supporting DDR memory will cost you quite a bit more than your regular PC133-supported motherboard. RDRAM, except for the price hike with the 256MB part, is still on the fall.
PC133 and PC100 memory prices are for the most part the same as they were last week except for a few drops here and there. PC "150" modules have come down in price, more so then their PC133 and PC100 cousins.
