When it came to overclocking, the Prolink PixelView GeForce3 Ti500 stood out from the crowd. We were able to push this card up to 270/600MHz, making it the best overclocker out of the GeForce3 Ti 500 cards that we got a chance to look at.
Although the unit uses a simple heatsink/fan combination as well as the reference memory heatsinks, card core temperatures were low and overclockability high. The card reached 127 degrees Fahrenheit, creating a tie with the Gainward GeForce3 Ti500 card for the coolest running of the bunch.
Note that the only two differences between the Prolink PixelView GeForce3 Ti500 and the Prolink PixelView GeForce3 Ti200 are the addition of memory heatsinks and the addition of a DVI-out connector. The card maintains the PixelView GeForce3 Ti200's Conexant CX25871 video-out encoder.
Like we saw with the Prolink PixelView GeForce3 Ti200, the Prolink PixelView GeForce3 Ti500 could not be readily found on the Internet Once again, we suspect that this card may make an excellent "budget" GeForce3 Ti500, but since we can not determine the market price for the card we are left guessing.
