As I mentioned in a previous update, at the end of July I moved into my first house. Along with moving into the house I had the always interesting experience of waiting for furniture to be delivered - or more realistically - waiting for it not to be delivered and then wondering where it all went. If you've never had the joy of waiting for it to be delievered, it's like waiting for the cable guy except this cable guy happens to hold your ability to enjoy a good night's rest in your bed (scary thought no?). In any case, the point of this story is that I've been up since 8AM waiting for a dining table to be delivered, hopefully the last major piece of furniture for the house. It's the only dining table I liked as it is square and seats 8, I'm not a fan of the whole "head of the table" idea...this way everyone is an equal at the table.

Ok so enough about dining, I just finished installing Flight Sim 2004 on this machine and I'm going to see if I can get a better benchmark out of it. I finished a Tron 2.0 benchmark last night and I finished testing Halo PC on both ATI and NVIDIA cards yesterday, so far I haven't been able to find any serious visual differences between the two using the CAT3.7s and the 52.14 drivers but we'll be taking screenshots to make sure.

Looks like the delivery truck is here so I'm cutting this one short, I'll post at you later.

Take care

I like how everyone always leaves amusingly prying comments on his blogs.

That having been said, I would gladly trade privacy for the ability to wallow in a pile of Radeon 9700s =D

    Hi Anand,
Glad the delivery came :) sounds like one heck of a piece of furniture.

just wondering when your going to deliver the news to the forum subscribers, or deliver me a response on the AnandTech store.

    The growingly frustrated,

#11 true but they don't know what makes motherboards good or bad. they just speak from experience like getting a defect and it not working so they would say its bad. something to that context

#10: No doubt, but the forum members have experience with a much wider variety of motherboards in "every day use." Anand & Co. only see a select few, and when they do, it's normally for short-term purposes.

Hey #9 this is #8, thanks for the help. But what I believe is that Anand himself is much more tech savvy than the people in the forums. So his recommendation would be #1 on my list when choosing a product. I have read his credentials and believe he is a very reliable source for this kind of information. Thanks for your help though.

To #8: Good idea, but people tend to take such questions to the forums. Go to the General Hardware forum, search, and if nothing comes up, post a question.

I tend to use Intel chipsets and trust ASUS, Intel, and Gigabyte.

Hey, I'm new to this site, and I was curious why you dont have top CPu's, mobo's, chipset's, video card's, exc... under those tabs? Like im looking for a good motherboard now but I dont know whats the best or mediocre. It would be helpful if there was a ratings page!!!
