As I mentioned in a previous update, at the end of July I moved into my first house. Along with moving into the house I had the always interesting experience of waiting for furniture to be delivered - or more realistically - waiting for it not to be delivered and then wondering where it all went. If you've never had the joy of waiting for it to be delievered, it's like waiting for the cable guy except this cable guy happens to hold your ability to enjoy a good night's rest in your bed (scary thought no?). In any case, the point of this story is that I've been up since 8AM waiting for a dining table to be delivered, hopefully the last major piece of furniture for the house. It's the only dining table I liked as it is square and seats 8, I'm not a fan of the whole "head of the table" idea...this way everyone is an equal at the table.

Ok so enough about dining, I just finished installing Flight Sim 2004 on this machine and I'm going to see if I can get a better benchmark out of it. I finished a Tron 2.0 benchmark last night and I finished testing Halo PC on both ATI and NVIDIA cards yesterday, so far I haven't been able to find any serious visual differences between the two using the CAT3.7s and the 52.14 drivers but we'll be taking screenshots to make sure.

Looks like the delivery truck is here so I'm cutting this one short, I'll post at you later.

Take care

Anand, it appears as if the DET 45.23 drivers DO support NV38. Could you please use them in addition to the latest DET 5X.XX drivers that nVidia provides in Part II of your review?

    Mr. Lai Shimpi,

Could you please tell me the three most important hardware components to consider when purchasing a new computer gaming system part by part?

In my opinion it would be an upgradable motherboard, the processor and upgradable case?

My max to spend is around 800$ but I want this system to be really fast. So the graphics card ram and the rest I can wait till I find a good deal. Thanks

    Congrats on the house.

Think we could get a more comprehensive Halo review this time around?

Yes, you have certainly achieved a great deal in the IT industry as well as in life. You parents and family members must be really proud. I think what you should do is write an article for young teens that can probably inspire them in someway. Maybe write your autobiography or something.

But congratulations on being successful, achieving the American Dream at such a young age, and on the purchase of your first house and soon-to-be, home.

Your parents, family, and significant other must be proud.

Some have leveled the accusation that you receive bribes from the likes of nVidia to write favorable reviews. I hope that is not the case.

In a plea for continued honesty, humility, and fairness in all that you do, I close with George C. Scott's famous quote from the movie Patton:

"For over a thousand years, Roman conquerors returning from the wars, enjoyed the honor of a triumph, a tumultuous parade. In the procession came trumpetors, musicians and strange animals from the conquered territories, together with carts laden with treasure and captured armaments. The conqueror rode in a triumphant chariot, the days prisoners walking in chains before him. Sometimes his children, robed in white, stood with him in the chariot, or rode the trace horses. A slave stood behind the conqueror, holding a golden crown, and whispering in his ear a warning...that all glory is fleeting."

Anand is under no obligation to hint at his annual income, and I suggest he doesn't. My guess is he is well inside the highest tax bracket, especially if the rumor is true that he drives a Ferrari 360 Modena.

    Hey Anand,
Do you mind telling us how much your house cost you?
