Yup, awful connector. It was so badly designed that nearly all HD caddies I used it ended up with a broken connector at some point in time. I ended up ordering Type-A versions as much more sturdy.
I can't tell from the picture but the flash drive key ring looks too small for any keyring I've seen. It'd be nice if flash drives included a compatible keyring to save on hassle.
