Johan has been asking me for stats on his article vs. mine for the first day of publication, I thought I'd surprise him here. Straight from our admin engine I've got the following first-day stats for the two Barcelona pieces:
The article AMD's Quad-Core Barcelona: Defending New Territory was read 916168 times.
The article AMD Phenom Preview: Barcelona Desktop Benchmarks was read 784524 times.
I'm actually a bit surprised, I didn't expect as much interest in the server benchmarks as in the desktop preview but honestly, Johan's article was way better than what I put together so it makes sense. Good job J :)
I've always been a fan of Johan's work and I'd been after him for years, the day he indulged me and joined the team I was super excited. That's actually been the case for all the members of the team, I go through this giddy period whenever someone new joins the family; I'm such a kid at heart.

Honestly didn't realize so many people read this site. I knew it was high but not a million reading an article a day high.I read both but read, but read Johan's first. He's always had quality work and been reading him since his work at Ace's (RIP).

I went to Johan's article first because your Phenom article had the word "preview" in it. It made me think that the Barcelona article was more complete and thus a better indicator of how the AMD vs. Intel battle was going. With limited time, I haven't read your Phenom article yet, but I will. Thanks again for all the good work.--

It's nice to see you blogging again, Anand, and with some good Barcelona-related commentary.Perhaps you could/should move the "Anand's Blog" section of the righthand sidebar higher on the page temporarily, so that more people will notice that there's some new postings! It's pretty hidden that far down on the page, and I personally only noticed the new topics by accident since I'd stopped checking months ago...
