Progress continues on the theater, here we're building the rear riser and the front stage. The rear riser will be home to the rear row of seats, and its function is to make sure that people seated in the back row can see over those in the front row and get a full view of the screen.
The front stage will be two levels, the first of which is being constructed in these pictures. Once complete, the front stage will have the false/screen wall built on top of it. The subwoofers will also rest on the stage, as will the stands for the front speakers.
Both the front stage and rear riser will be full of insulation.

What speakers and sub are you going to use?Jaguar36 - Thursday, January 24, 2008 - link
How much of this work are you doing yourself? Or is it all being contracted out?Anand Lal Shimpi - Thursday, January 24, 2008 - link
It depends on the particular task. Drywall and a lot of the framing I left to the guys that are doing the rest of the basement. The more non-standard things (screen construction, wall panel construction, ceiling, etc...) are me and whatever help I can get from friends/family :)-A
