This time the easily available VisionTek Xtasy 6564 comes with more than just the bare minimum of features.
Like the GeForce2 Ti 200 version, the card comes outfitted with a simple heatsink/fan unit as well as two 16 fin memory heatsinks to cover up the two banks of memory on the card. The heatsink/fan unit on the core was able to manage the heat of the processor well, as the VisionTek Xtasy 6564 only got up to 123 degrees Fahrenheit, making it the second coolest card in the GeForce3 Ti 200 tests.
Unlike VisionTek's GeForce2 Ti 200 card, however, the VisionTek Xtasy 6564 comes with TV-out capabilities. Powered by the older Conexant Bt869 video encoder, the card can only output at a maximum resolution of 800x600.
Again, the key to the VisionTek Xtasy 6564's success is its retail availability. The card is not significantly less expensive than other GeForce3 Ti 200 cards, nor does it have a stronger feature set. Instead VisionTek is focusing on getting these cards on the shelf of your local CompUSA or Best Buy.
